North Texas Iftar with City Officials - You're Invited

Ramadan is a month of fasting, drawing closer to the Divine, and counting one's blessings. Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) said, "He who does not thank the people is not thankful to Allah".

In honor of that tradition, we invite you to join us to celebrate the accomplishment of the North Texas Muslim community during the first-ever "North Texas Iftar Celebration."This Iftar (breaking of the fast meal) will include speeches from Government officials and Mayors of North Texas and Muslim government leaders. Muslim community leaders and interfaith partners will give moving speeches. We are concluding with an award ceremony to honor the work of outstanding American Muslims in North Texas.

WHAT:North Texas Iftar Celebration - 2022
WHEN:Wednesday, April 20th, Doors Open at 6:00 P.M.

TICKETS:$25 per adult

Hosts: 

  • North Texas Islamic Council (NTIC)
  • Council on American-Islamic Relations in Dallas Fort-Worth (CAIR-TX DFW)

The event will include: 

  • Speeches from North Texas political leaders, including Judge Clay Jenkins, North Texas Mayors, Muslims in government, and community leaders.
  • An award ceremony to recognize the accomplishments of outstanding North Texas Muslim community members.
  • Iftar (breaking of the fast meal), dinner, and Maghrib (sunset prayers)
