After Ramadan, the 9th month of the Islamic lunar calendar, when Muslims worldwide fast from pre-dawn till sunset, there is a festival called Eid-Ul-Fitr. During that festival, Muslims wake up early, dress in their most excellent clothing, hold a sizeable communal prayer, and traditionally visit family members, give presents and share in communal meals.

During the "Eid Celebration at the Capitol," people of all faiths and backgrounds are encouraged to visit the Capitol for free food, kids' activities, educational presentations, art stalls, clothing stalls, etc. It's an opportunity to have fun, make new friends, and learn about your Muslim neighbors.

The Program will Include the Following Activity Tents:

  • Food Tent: Enjoy free international delicious food
  • Clothing From Around the World: Enjoy looking at and trying on clothing from around the world.
  • Information Tent: Have questions about Islam? Want to learn more about Ramadan, Eid, and your Muslim neighbors? This is the tent for you with free literature and people to answer your questions.
