CAIR-TX CN Government Affaris Department is responsible for organizing both the bi-annual Texas Muslim Capitol Day as well as the D.C. Lobby Day.
- TX Muslim Capitol Day (TMCD) is a bi-annual event that brings together hundreds of Texas Muslims to the state's capitol in Austin Texas. During the event, Texas Muslims hold meetings with elected officials, a rally in front of the Capitol, and a prayer service. This event is done in collaboration with dozens of other Texas Muslim organizations, schools, Islamic centers, and other groups in order to empower Texas Muslims to become more civicially engaged and have their voices heard.
- D.C. Lobby Day: This is an annual event that brings dozens of Texas Muslims to Washington D.C. to meet Congressional officials, advocate for positive change, share our community's concerns, and see first hand our nation's capitol funcations. Participants will either fly to D.C. or join for virtual meetings.
